The University of Montenegro is thrilled to announce the launch of its first e-magazine dedicated exclusively to its alumni. This innovative publication, created within the framework of the Erasmus+ CBHE project AL4LIFE, marks a significant milestone in fostering a vibrant and engaged alumni community.
Al4Life: Bridging Academia and Industry
The AL4LIFE project aims to align higher education more closely with labor market demands by bridging the gap between academic institutions and the business community. By establishing a network of successful graduates, the project seeks to provide current students with valuable guidance, enhancing their career development prospects and fostering an environment of multidisciplinary collaboration.
A Message from the Rector and Vice-Rector
- Prof. Dr. Vladimir Božović, Rector of the University of Montenegro, emphasized the importance of alumni as a resource for improving education quality and regional development. "By recognizing our alumni as ambassadors of success, we aim to mobilize their potential to enhance employability, encourage networking, and foster collaboration. This e-magazine is a testament to our commitment to building a strong, connected community," stated Prof. Božović.
- Prof. Dr. Sanja Peković, Vice-Rector and Project Coordinator, emphasized, "By leveraging alumni as ambassadors, we can improve student employability, foster creative networking and multidisciplinary collaborations, and better respond to the challenges of the modern labor market."
Empowering Alumni Engagement

This strategy, inspired by best practices from European university-alumni engagement models, aims to strengthen the connection between alumni, the university, and industry. The collaboration is set to enhance student career development, improve graduate employment prospects, and solidify partnerships between academia and the private sector.
Memorandum of Cooperation
A significant step in institutionalizing alumni engagement was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation on June 12, 2024. This agreement, formalized by Rector Prof. Dr. Božović and Srdan Kosović, President of the UoM Alumni Association, underscores the university's commitment to leveraging alumni contributions for institutional excellence.
Upcoming Events and Initiatives
The e-magazine also highlights upcoming events, such as workshops, mentoring sessions, and job fairs, aimed at enhancing student and alumni interaction. These events provide valuable opportunities for professional development and networking, further strengthening the bond between the university and its alumni.
A Bright Future for Alumni and Students
